Director, Stanford Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program
Dr. Vyjeyanthi (VJ) Periyakoil is a nationally recognized leader in palliative care. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, and the Director of the Stanford University Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. She is the Principal Investigator for this project and also the Director of the VA Nationwide Palliative Care Network. Her current projects focus on cross-cultural issues in patients with chronic and serious illnesses, older adults and patients at the end of life.
